Why Sauti Sol have been forced to cancel US show

Kenyan boy band Sauti Sol have been forced to cancel their scheduled United States show in New York City.

In a post on Instagram announcing the cancellation, Sauti Sol said that they had to cancel the show because they are involved in the production of their next album and the timelines were clashing.

They however said that they plan to make up for the show with an extensive tour of the United States in the summer from July.

Sauti Sol also promised that they would roll out a schedule for their summer shows soon.

To our fans in New York, we sadly have to cancel our show this coming March as we’re bogged down working on our latest album and the timelines just don’t seem to align. We are planning on coming for an extensive tour in the US during the summer this year, starting with the Essence Festival in July. Please keep an eye out for our tour schedule! We can’t wait to see you and make up for the unfortunate movement in our dates,” wrote Sauti Sol.

The announcement comes barely a day after they launched their first signed artiste on their record label Soul Generation.

Sauti Sol’s first signee is Bensoul who has sent a statement in the industry with his first song called ‘Lucy’.
