The tragic reason why Tedd Josiah's fiancée passed away

They were set to tie the knot next year.

His wife-to-be Regina complained of a headache on Friday and when she told Ted, he advised her to go for a blood test and she promised that she would go for it on Saturday. But Saturday was too late as her condition was in dire need of medical help though she looked normal and had no pain. Unfortunately, when she was rushed to hospital on Saturday she died 3 hours after her arrival.

“When she was in town on Friday, I asked her to go do a blood test, to which she responded that she would go for the tests on Saturday, the following day. All through she looked normal, and was not feeling any pain. ” Tedd told eDaily.

Questions have been raised about what led to the death of such a young girl and Tedd Josiah has opened up about the rare condition that claimed Regina’s life.

“She died from a very rare condition, which occurs among few women across the world, but it is very rare to be detected among African women. Her blood platelet count fell below normal after childbirth. Regina’s platelets, a component of blood whose function is to stop bleeding by clumping and clotting blood vessel injuries, were so diluted, leading to a significantly reduced count. Sadly, all through she had an internal bleeding, which had not been detected, nor stopped, because of her low platelet count.” Tedd Josiah told eDaily“ It is extremely sad we lost her in such a manner.”

“Ladies before during and even after your child’s conception and delivery and growth, make sure you check everything about your health. Mom’s health matters as much as baby’s health does. Reginah Katar was the best Mother in the whole world and my best friend, life partner and my all. Take your spot with the angels and sing your little heart out till we hear you down here on Earth.” He emotionally added on Facebook.
