Following the success of her beauty parlour, Vera Sidika is dipping her toe into the lash business.
The budding business lady has launched the Vera Sidika Mink Lash line whose products are packaged in a gold and black protective case. The lashes are said to be handcrafted, go for Sh1500 and can be used up to 20 times.
“Hey guys! I am so excited because I am launching my lash line.Mink lashes baby! Oooh! How amazing is that?” Vera said.
Miss Sidika joins the increasing list of celebrities looking to make a mark in the beauty industry. Just last week, Metropolitan TV General Manager Terryanne Chebet launched Keyara Cosmetics. The cosmetic company is a subsidiary of Keyara Organics and seeks to offer luxurious products for the African woman.
In 2018, Jua Cali’s wife Lily Asigo followed her passion by launching Asigo Beauty which kick-started its cosmetic journey with lashes. She recently expanded her business with loose powder eyeshadow, beauty blenders and eyeshadow palettes.
“I have started with lashes first and by early next year, I would have launched my makeup collection. I believe it is time the Kenyan woman should get something that is from their own who understands the difficulties a Kenyan woman goes through when it comes to making the right choice in makeup,” she told Nairobi News.
Amber Ray also recently launched her own line of lipsticks called Zumaridi by Amber, while Huddah is experiencing resounding success with Huddah Cosmetics.
Huddah Cosmetics was recently selected as the first social commerce merchant on Mula Shops and the entrepreneur couldn’t help at marvel at how far her company has come since it was established 2 years ago.
