Joyce Omondi’s reaction as Hubbby makes debut on Citizen TV’s News Night

On Tuesday, Waihiga Mwaura made his debut as Citizen TV’s News Night host, replacing Hussein Mohammed who ended his relationship with the station after a period of 10 years.

This was a great milestone in Mwaura’s career as a Journalist basing on the fact that he has been able to rise up the ranks (Reporter-News Anchor) and his wife Joyce Omondi could not keep calm but celebrate him.

In a series of Social media posts, the Switch TV presenter, shared a promo that made it public, that Mwaura had taken over News Night with words that read;#NewsNight with @waihigamwaura It's amazing what God can do when a man surrenders his life to Him. Shine on #theonehekeptforme! So proud of you, @waihigamwaura, #NewsNightWithWaihigaMwaura #seeGod #ebenezer #wonthedoit #proudwife”.

Proud of You

As a sign of love, Ms Omondi had to prepare a special meal to for her hubby and encourage him to keep soaring high.

“Made some of #theonehekeptforme! Favorites for him to enjoy after his #Newnight Premier! So proud of #theonehekeptforme! Shine on @Waihigamwaura,” shared Joyce Omondi.

Waihiga and Joyce walked down the aisle back in 2015, and despite being public figures they always share so little with the public, on things to do with their love life.

Private Life

 “We decided to be very private about our relationship from the beginning. Many people (including our colleagues) did not know that we were dating until we got married. That is why this is the first and only interview we shall do in a very long time,” the Mwauras revealed to Salon Magazine.

On Friday last week, the Royal Media Service (RMS) owned station Citizen TV settled on Waihiga Mwaura has Hussein Mohammed’s replacement on News Night, a segment that airs every Tuesday.
