Zari Hassan announces wedding date upon landing in Mombasa

South Africa based Ugandan socialite and business woman Zari Hassan has finally announced her wedding date.

The mother of five who landed in Nairobi on Friday while speaking via an Instagram live video said that she will be having her wedding on Nelson Mandela Day (July 18).

According to Zari, they chose the day because it will be a beautiful day to remember their marriage as the world will be remembering the good Nelson Mandela did for Africa.

“I’m about to get married and me and my fiancé are thinking of Nelson Mandela Day because it will be a very beautiful day to remember our marriage because Nelson Mandela did a lot for Africa not just South Africa. So i'm official gonna get married on Nelson Mandela Day,” she said.

Nelson Mandela Day is an international Day marked on July 18 every year which also doubles up as Nelson Mandela’s birthday.

Zari Hassan is in Kenya for a women empowerment conference organized by singer Akothee.

Walking down the aisle

In the month of April, Zari Hassan hinted that she would soon be walking down the aisle with her new lover in a very secretive affair.

In a video shared via her Insta-stories, Ms Hassan mentioned that she would only invite close friends and family members.

“Oh my wedding is gonna be so Private…I´ll only release details once it´s been done. Only Family and Friends,” she said.

A few weeks later, Mama Tee announced that she was engaged to King bae before she later on showed off her wedding ring.

In a post on Snapchat, the mother of five shared a picture of the ring which she captioned with the words, “Wedding band trials… Road to being Mr. M”

In another post, Zari confessed that she loved her best friend assuring her followers that Mr. M was more than a lover.
