Opposition MPs teargas Parliament to prevent a vote [VIDEO]
Where were they carrying that teargas?
The opposition party, Self Determination Movement, tossed three teargas cannisters as the vote was due to start.
The assembly, which holds 150 seats, was expected to vote with the two-thirds needed to ratify the 2015 agreement.
This agreement is a precondition set by the EU in order to give Kosovans the ability to travel freely inside the visa-free Schengen area- a zone where 26 European countries have abolished passports and border controls at mutual borders.
Montenegro has already approved the deal.
According to The Independent, the opposition claims that Kosovo stands to lose 20,000 acres of land to Montenegro but experts disagree with this.
The European Union and American ambassadors condemned the act stating that "violence has no place in Kosovo" and that they were "appalled" and "shocked".
