After the humiliating defeat in last weeks General Election, former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto has spoken for the first time since the declaration of the results.
Ruto has now divulged that he is willing to work with incoming Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso and hand over power.
Despite admitting that the results could have been doctored, the NASA co-principal and a fierce critic of President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee party has disclosed that he won't challenge the results in court.
"Let Dr. Laboso continue with development activities from where I left and do more for Bomet people in her administration since this is what they are yearning for," he said.
Laboso was declared the winner after garnering 176511 votes Ruto's against 86189 votes.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that the outgoing Governor wants to be nominated by the Orange Democratic Party (ODM) in the next parliament as Minority Leader in the National Assembly.
In a report by a local daily, an official of ODM divulged that the request was not received well by some members.
