During sex, we rarely think about what our organs go through for the sake of the mind-blowing orgasms we get. Have you ever been curious to find out what happens to your penis during sex? Well, wonder no more as we will school you.

So, when the guy gets the urge to have sex, the penis is definitely becomes hard at this point. The nerves around the penis become active as there is increased blood flow. In addition, the heart rate increases and the breathing and blood pressure accelerates.

How about when the man is in action?

Well, at that point, there’s more blood flowing to the penis and the testis is pulled up to the scrotum, the penis is now fully erected. The muscles of the thighs, hands, stomach and chest also tighten and this is what we call intercourse.

Now, when he is at the peak of pleasure, the most pleasure is derived while he thrusts his penis. When at the peak, the penis is totally erect and the orgasm could be just around the corner.

When he gets an orgasm

This happens for a very short span of time. The seminal fluid collects in the urethra and the man feels a great sensation and what this means is that ejaculation is just about to happen. A man’s orgasm lasts only for a few seconds unlike a woman’s which can go up to 23 seconds.

Once he reaches orgasm, the orgasm is immediately followed by ejaculation. Semen is ejaculated from the penis and the contractions occur in the organ during ejaculation. When he is done, the penis then starts to soften. The man goes into a refractory phase after ejaculation and usually, he may not be able to orgasm again, after the act. In fact, it takes some time to get back into action again, and this depends on the amount of arousal, excitement, age and also how physically active he is.
