Pop music legend Janet Jackson was the recipient for the coveted Icon Award during this year’s Billboard Music Awards.
Not only has the mother of one been instrumental in helping to shape the American music industry but she has also been known to be quite the fashionista since stepping out into the limelight.
She has always been one to experiment with different styles and putting her own twists to her ensembles and her stage look while performing at the Billboard awards was no different.
She decided to draw some inspiration from the Maasai culture, pairing her sparkling gold sweatshirt and thigh high shoes with Maasai beaded necklaces and bangles to complement her look.
