We have all had a foul-smelling fridge at least once. Especially when the lights go for a couple of hours and you had food in the fridge, there’s going to be a foul smell afterwards. There are many reasons why this happens, such as not packing your leftover food in airtight containers or having food in the fridge for far too long. Well, good thing is, you can easily get rid of that stale fridge smell and we will show you how to do that.
Ever opened your fridge and you were met by a foul smell?
1. Start by removing everything in the fridge and putting them aside. If you have a coolant, you can put them in there.
2. The second thing you wanna do is wipe with a clean sponge, mild detergent and warm water, then rinse with a wet cloth and wipe dry with a clean dry cloth.
3. To help control odors, fill a small bowl with dry baking soda then place it on the bottom shelf of your fridge to absorb any lingering odors. You could also put an open pack of your baking soda. Date it so that you remember to replace it after every one month or so.
4. Put back the items in your fridge.
