5 great tips for healthy skin

Take care of your skin

Glowing youthful skin(brinkleybeautyblog)

Your skin is the largest organ in your body. It acts as a protective barrier, protecting you from harmful things and you should in turn take care of it especially if you want to still have healthy skin a few years later. If your skin is full of pimples, rashes, blemishes and what not, it could be an indication of an underlying health issue manifesting itself in form of bad skin. Here’s how you can take care of your skin.

1. Less stress.

Overworking yourself will lead to too much stress which in turn, can make your skin more sensitive, reactive and inflamed. Not only can stress change your complexion but it can also weaken your skin’s ability to fight off irritants, allergens or micro-organisms, leading to super sensitive skin or even infections. So, next time you’re feeling stressed, take a deep breath, go for a massage, take a walk, listen to music, take a nap, whatever you can do to relax.

2. Use sun screen.

Regardless of your skin tone, we all need sun screen yes even black people. Sun screen helps protect our skin from the sun's UV rays. Also when exposed to the sun for long hours, wear hats.

3. Quit smoking.

Smoking can prematurely age your skin and make it saggy because it damages the collagen fibers in your skin which make it firm and strong. So, quit smoking if you want that black not to crack.

4. Hydrate and eat lots of healthy foods, fruits and vegetables.

Hydrating will ensure that your body is getting the fluids it needs to function properly and flush out toxins which could be bringing about the rashes and pimples. Severe dehydration can also lead to poor skin elasticity.

5. Cleanse and moisturize.

Avoid soaps for your face as these will rid your body off its natural oils. Stick to gentler cleansers and moisturizers that will ensure your skin is soft and supple
