Maybe you meet someone that you really like and despite wanting to let them in, you can’t because you don’t want to give too much of yourself to them. You are afraid of changing in order to make it work between the two of you.

2.You compare your past with your present

If someone hurt you in the past, you tend to use that situation as a reference to your current situation. It is okay to learn from past mistakes or experiences but it shouldn’t define the rest of your life.

3.You live in regret

Maybe you are the one that made a really bad mistake in the past and haven’t received any form of reconciliation with what you did so instead of moving on, you spend every waking minute thinking about it.

This not only hinders your growth but could also lead to serious issues like depression.

4.You are insecure

If you’re getting into a new relationship and the person you are with maybe forgets to call you when they said they would, you immediately start panicking and overthinking things because your last partner did the same thing to you.
