1. Run your toothbrush around your mouth before you sleep

This helps get rid of any food morsels that may be stuck in your teeth. Bacteria consume th food particles left behind, and they fuel bad breath by releasing sulfur compounds when they break down the foods.

2. Avoid breathing through the mouth

Saliva helps break down food particles still stuck in the mouth and removes them when you swallow. Saliva production decreases when you sleep. Breathing through your mouth helps create a dry zone where bacteria can thrive.

Try sleeping on your side or stomach.
