Stealthing has become more frequent among male sexual partners of late. It the non-consensual removal of a condom in the middle of sex.
It has nothing to do with technique or position. It is a gross violation of trust during sex with a partner who had agreed to have protected sex with.
In Kenya- there's no law that penalizes this.
Stealthing is disturbing and since it falls under non-consensual acts, it should be classified as sexual assualt.
It is a violation as it leaves a partner feeling vulnerable to pregnancy and/or sexually transmitted diseases.
It can cause emotional, physical and financial stresses that can be brought about by other harmful sexual violations such as molestation and harrasment.
In January 2017, a court in Switzerland convicted a man of rape after he took off his condom without telling his partner. The court concluded that the woman would have said no to sex if the condom had been removed.
More comprehensive laws against sexual assault or harassment against people should be created.
