You must have been wondering why it’s not happening yet you might be thinking that you are doing everything right. Check these reasons that may be the reason why you are not getting pregnant:
1. Blocked Fallopian tubes
For you to get pregnant, the sperm must swim through the cervix, then to the uterus before finally meeting with the egg in the Fallopian tube. There are various reasons as to why you may have blocked Fallopian tubes. So once they are blocked, the sperm will not meet the egg meaning conception won’t take place.
2. You are over 35
Well, as you grow old, your chances to conceive keep on going down. So if you are already over 35 years, it might take a little longer for you to conceive.
3. You are not ovulating
This is a common cause of infertility in women. You may fail to ovulate if you have polycystic ovarian syndrome, or if you are overweight or underweight. One way to know that you are not ovulating is irregular periods. All the same, irregular periods do not always mean that you are not ovulating.
If you want to conceive, then you must try as much as you can to stay away from anything that stresses you. Of course it’s okay to feel under pressure at certain points, but if it’s too much, it reduces your chances of getting pregnant.
5. Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)
Experts say this is the main reason behind women infertility. The condition affects the hormones and ovulation, making it harder to get pregnant.
6. You are not timing sex
You can’t just be having sex randomly when you really want to conceive. Track your calendar and make sure you have sex on your fertile window.
7. Lifestyle habit
What you take down your gut may also make it harder for you to conceive. If you have been smoking or drinking too much, then you need to give it a break. Eat healthy foods, exercise but also do not exercise too much since it may hinder conception.
