It’s important to avoid processed foods when trying to lose weight. At the same time, it’s equally important to match the right kind of spices to your preferred foods. Not everyone is a lover of spices. However, unbeknownst to many people, some spices can actually play a big part in helping you burn fat faster. Wondering which those spices are? Here they are:

1. Tumeric.

Studies have shown that turmeric can help your body burn fat by increasing body heat and boosting your metabolism.

2. Ginger.

This is another warming spice that has anti-inflammatory and metabolism boosting properties. It may even have an appetite-suppressing effect. Ginger also helps control blood sugar level, which means it can prevent a spike in your glucose levels after taking a carb or a sugar-rich diet.

3. Cinnamon.

Apart from boosting your metabolism, cinnamon is great for regulating your blood sugar and reducing cholesterol levels for people suffering from type 2 diabetes and even pre-diabetic.

4. Cayenne pepper.

Capsaicin, the key compound in peppers that help produce heat in the body, help fight obesity and decrease your intake of calories in the process which ultimately lowers body fat.

5. Black pepper.

A key ingredient called piperine, which gives black pepper its flavor and also prevents the formation of new fat cells, helping you lose and maintain weight.
