Contrary to the common belief that only men suffer from sexual dysfunctions, women too are victims.

Sexual disorders may happen due to medication, psychological problems or some health conditions.

Some of the most common sexual disorders experienced by women include:

1. Orgasm disorders

This is the inability to get an orgasm otherwise known as anorgasmia. Some women experience this frustrating condition whereby they can never climax regardless of how much time they spend working for it. While some women orgasm while masturbating but never do so when having sex, others have no clue what an orgasm feels like. Anorgasmia may be a result of medications or psychological factors.

2. Low sexual desire

This is one of the most common sexual disorder affecting women. Usually, a woman does not have the urge to have sex and is unwilling to be sexual. And even if a woman involved herself in coitus at such moments, she may not enjoy it because she has no interest in it. Check out these foods that help boost a woman’s libido.

3. Sexual arousal disorder

This is the inability to get aroused even after being sexually stimulated. You may find that a woman does not get wet or excited even after some minutes of foreplay. In other cases, a woman may get aroused but the arousal is not sufficient enough to sustain her through a single sexual encounter.

4. Pain disorders

This is another common disorder affecting women. They feel pain during intercourse which in most cases results from vaginal dryness. Vaginal dryness maybe a result of inadequate foreplay, health problems such as UTIs, hormonal imbalance and anxiety.

Although some of these disorders can be solved by figuring it what works best for you with your partner, you may need to see a doctor for treatment. Don’t just suffer in silence while you can get help and enjoy intercourse like other people.
