Brush your teeth

Use mouthwash or toothpaste shown to be effective in fighting bad breath. Floss your teeth at least twice a day (you can get floss in Nakumatt or chemists, costs less than 500/=).

Stimulate your salivary flow

Chew gum, mint, sweet or fibrous fruits and vegetables. These help moisten your mouth and “kill” the bad odor.

Baking soda

This helps neutralize excess acids in your mouth. Bad breath bacteria thrive in an acidic environment.

Lemon Juice

The acidity found in lemon juice prevents growth of bacteria on your tongue and gums. Just swirl some lemon juice in your mouth like two times in a day.

Water

Regular intake of water is also essential for keeping your breath fresh. After eating make it a habit to swish water around your mouth for a few seconds, this loosen food particles stuck between your teeth and helps clean up your mouth.

Seek medical advice

If you’v tried the above remedies and goggled some more and still your breath stinks. See a doctor.
