Wanjigi’s posh Muthaiga home was raided hours after police allegedly recovered guns and bullets at a Malindi house that is also owned by the controversial businessman.

The Muthaiga house, located on address 44 Muthaiga Road, sits next to the United States embassy. It is reported to be one of the most luxurious houses in Africa with a heated swimming pool, helipad for his Eurocopter registration 5Y-JWJ, a bunker and a compound with top-of-the-line security features.

It is not clear under what circumstances Wanjigi’s home was raided.

The development, however, came only a few weeks after the businessman had claimed his life was in danger after which he pleaded with the state to offer him extra security.
