According to area police, the accident occurred at Mida on Monday. The six who lost their lives were occupants of the matatu including the driver.
Several other including those who were in the bus sustained injuries and and were rushed to Malindi Sub-County hospital.
The area base commander said that the accident occurred at a sharp bend and it was raining at the time.

Bodies of the diseased were taken to Malindi Hospital Mortuary.
