The two have been in jail since October when their co accussed Migori Governor Okoth Obado was released on a Ksh5 million cash bail and two sureties of a similar amount.
High Court Judge Jessie Lesiit had ruled that Oyamo and Obiero would cause fear and anxiety among members of the public.
Security
She also cited security concerns as part of the reasons why the two will remain at the Industrial Area Remand Prison.
Justice Lessit said that the probability of the two skipping bail was high and therefore ordered that they be detained until the date of the trial.
Obado alongside his personal assistant Michael Oyamo and Migori County Clerk Caspal Obiero are facing two murder charges.
Abduction
They are also accused of killing Sharon Otieno’s unborn child.
Ms Otieno was seven months pregnant at the time she was abducted and killed and her body found dumped a forest in Oyugis.
The case will be heard on between May 6-17 2019.
