The Nairobi county government is on the spot for spending Ksh250m for the rehabilitation of John Osogo Road in Dandora which remains unfinished.
Reports indicated that the construction of the road has taken more than three years to be completed despite millions pumped into the project.
The construction began during Governor Evans Kidero's tenure in office but it is yet to be completed.
In 2016, Kidero's administration set aside Ksh180 million towards its repair and since then the construction of the road has seen four extensions with the latest one lapsing on September 2019.

Area MCA Francis Otieno complained of the contractor's absence from the site adding that he resurfaced only to construct 100 metres of the road.
Blame games
The contractor – Nyoro Construction Company – has been paid Ksh70 million out of the Ksh171 million, according to Nairobi Environment Executive Vesca Kangogo.
She added that the contractor had delayed work demanding interest on payments invoices not paid within 28 days.

“This is not feasible because our budgets do not have provisions for interest on delayed payments. All payment certificates have been paid but the contractor has refused to go back to the site," Ms Kangogo said.
However, the contractor accused City Hall of violating its contract in terms of payment while also saying that they are yet to be fully paid by the county.
