The Powerful Team picked to unite Raila & Uhuru [FULL List]

Will Uhuru and Raila agree?

As the date for the fresh presidential election date approaches, it seems impossible to unite the two leaders for the sake of the country whose economy has been dwindling due to the political uncertainty.

However, Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli proposed the names of 11 veteran politicians who can bring Kenyatta and Odinga together.

“We are appealing to our political leaders to see sense and seek dialogue. Dialoguing is a global phenomenon of people coming together throughout the world. Even if it is a minor disagreement.

“When people call for a dialogue it is not a matter of sharing the government. Jubilee and NASA should not be scared,” Atwoli said.

Speaking during a press conference, Mr. Atwoli divulged that the names of 11 Kenyans who can lead the talks.

The 11-member team is include: Garissa senator Yusuf Haji, Busia Senator Amos Wako, Odinga’s elder brother Oburu Odinga, Former MP Jamleck Kamau, former State House Controller Abraham Kiptanui, Hassan Ole Kamwaro (former Chairman in Narok).

Former KANU operative in Mombasa Bwana Sir Jack, Zipporah Kittony (former Nominated Senator), Philip Masinde (Former Minister of Labour), Former Kitui Senator Musila and Pheobe Asiyo (former MP).

Atwoli remarked that the above leaders should reach out Kenyatta and Odinga with immediate effect.

“So I want to appeal to the handlers of leaders of NASA and Jubilee to advise them to meet and agree,” he said.

The COTU boss highlighted that the anti-IEBC protests by NASA were negatively affecting businesses in the three major cities - Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu.

“In the ongoing demos, the hooligans have joined in. People are being robbed in town. In Kisumu, you have to go through various roadblocks mounted by the demonstrator. You are supposed to pay tax before passing," Atwoli noted.

He also expressed concerns over the new call by NASA to have daily protests across the country.
