In an extensive theory, political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi advised Wiper Party Mr Musyoka of a strategy he could use to force the Alliance name the flag bearer.

In his opinion piece titled: Explaining the NASA Confusion, Mr Ngunyi told Musyoka to declare himself the flagbearer since the Alliance was still ‘confused’ on who would face-off President Uhuru Kenyatta in the poll.

According to Ngunyi, this would strategically throw Odinga and the Opposition at large in a disarray.

He insisted that Kalonzo ought not to quit NASA but instead take the war to Mr Odinga by stating he is the NASA presidential candidate.

“Kalonzo should not quit NASA. He should stay in the coalition and cause constipation and a good starting point for him is to declare himself the NASA candidate and he should do this for nuisance value. But he should also do it because there are no nominations rules in NASA.

"In the absence of such rules the law of the jungle applies. According to this law, he who finds it first keeps it. This is also known as the right of the first occupant," the political analyst opined.

Nyunyi added “If Kalonzo becomes the first occupant of the NASA ticket through self-proclamation the others will have to denounce him and if they do they will have to tell us who the candidate is if it is not Kalonzo”.

The analyst mentioned that this ploy would smoke NASA out of their dark rooms of conspiracy and name the much-hidden Presidential candidate.
