Nairobi Women Representative Rachel Shebesh on Wednesday received her Jubilee nomination certificate from the Nairobi Hospital, where she has been admitted.

Ms. Shebesh who is suffering from a leg injury was handed the paper by the Jubilee party officials, following her win in the recently concluded primaries.

Divulging the news on her Facebook page, the Women Rep noted: “Today I received my Jubilee Certificate in Nairobi Hospital where I am recuperating from a leg injury. Thank you Nairobians for your continued support”.

However, it was not clear what caused Shebesh’s injury.

The legislator took the Jubilee ticket after a landslide win where she garnered 91,766 votes.

She defeated first timer Millicent Omanga who got 53,734 and City lawyer Karen Nyamu who garnered 36,828 votes.

Shebesh, Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko and nominated MP Johnson Sakaja are the three Jubilee candidates wanting to take over Nairobi County.

Sonko is eying the Gubernatorial seat while Sakaja wants to be the next Senator.
