Mr Odinga, who was accompanied by other National Super Alliance (NASA) principals, came face to face with an angry crowd who were against the County’s Governor Cornel Rasanga, who the ODM chief is supporting.

The former Prime Minister urged the youth to vote six-piece which means the electorates should choose the Opposition’s Presidential, Gubernatorial, Senatorial, MP, Women Rep, MCA candidate.

However, the residents who oppose Mr Rasanga were against the six-piece voting system.

They heckled and jeered Odinga, who pleaded with them not to embarrass them.

“Do not embarrass me, ensure that our team comprising of Governor, Senator, Women representative, MP and MCA are one team,” Odinga was quoted by the Star.

Earlier, Odinga had divulged that re-electing Rasanga would help him get campaign resources easily.

“If we have an ODM governor here in Siaya, it will be easy for me to source for resources and channel it down to our counties unlike where there is an independent governor,” Raila said.

He added: “We do not want Madoadoa (mixed parties) in Siaya County”.

Following the retaliation from the crowd, ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi begged the crowd to support Odinga and vote six-piece.

“You need to show a good example to "Baba too" by voting his preferred way, who are you not to shelve your ambitions if we did the same?” Musalia was quoted.

The locals seem to be preferring Nicholus Gumbo who lost the party ticket to Rasanga during the primaries.

Rasanga got 143,446 votes while Gumbo garnered 87,467 vot
