Mr. Dida rubbished Odinga's claims that the investors were linked to President Uhuru Kenyatta stating that it is inevitable to meet the Head of State if one visits a country.

“It is not bad that Uhuru met the investors since they were coming to his country.

“When you visit a home (Kenya) you have a right as a visitor to see the father (Uhuru) so you feel at home in the new place. It is common knowledge,” he said.

The second time presidential candidate stated that Mr. Odinga was always opposing the Government even on irrelevant issues.

"I know Raila loves teargas and can't go three months without it. If he tries, he will be sick," he was quoted by the Star.

Dida opined that there was no plan by the Jubilee party to rig the August 8 General Election as alleged by Opposition leaders.

"I am confident following our meeting with IEBC officials. The elections will be fair," he mentioned.

Mr. Dida further noted that there was no malice in the acquisition of the tender.

NASA leaders took the IEBC to court protesting the allocation of the ballot papers tender to Al Ghurair.

According to the Alliance the firm has close ties with President Kenyatta;s family and the move was to assist Jubilee to rig the upcoming poll.

However, in an affidavit Al Ghurair denied any connection with Mr Kenyatta.

The case will be heard on 30th June 2017.
