Speaking in an interview on Citizen TV on Sunday, Sonko disclosed that his feud with Kenneth emanated from 2013 when the latter declined to support President Uhuru Kenyatta during the elections.
"I have a lot of bitterness with this guy. He should have a rally and apologise to me, Mama Ngina Kenyatta, and my wife for the tears we shed.
"I am not going to accept Kenneth as my running mate or to be his deputy. Let him feel our pain in 2013 when he did not support President Uhuru Kenyatta," Sonko stated.
The senator, also affirmed that he will not step down for the Gatanga MP in the gubernatorial race for Nairobi.
"I will do anything to safeguard Uhuru’s presidency. We will not accept this guy....I will fight you to the end.
"Why should we have politicians who have already been rejected by the people?" Sonko posed.
The senator went on a rant and called the Kenneth unprintable names, which compelled him to apologise on Monday morning after a section of the public complained.
“kama niliwajamisha intrview ya jana poleni nilikuwa na hasira my opponent aliniita hooligan in public wenzake wakaniita mbwa ndani ya kanisa,” Sonko wrote on Twitter.
The senator had earlier claimed that a senior government official was trying to deny him a certificate of good conduct so that he can be locked out the Jubilee nominations.
Sonko was later given the certificate clearing him to face off with Kenneth for the Jubilee ticket.
