Nairobi’s Jubilee Party Team Nairobi has made a major announcement that is set change the politics of Nairobi ahead of August poll.
‘Team Nairobi’ which is composed of Mike Sonko, Dennis Waweru and Margaret Wanjiru, who are all jostling to unseat ODM’s Evans Kidero, have eventually agreed to front Senator Mike Sonko and former Starehe MP Bishop Margaret Wanjiru.
Dagoreti South MP Dennis Waweru has allegedly dropped his Nairobi gubernatorial seat dreams and instead is said to have presented his nomination papers for the re-election bid.
Speaking on a live interview on Radio Citizen Friday (today) morning, the duo, Sonko and Wanjiru, have said that already they have a post-primaries deal in preparation for the mega race to unseat Governor Evans Kidero.
They have consented that the winner of the pre-primaries will be facing yet another Jubilee candidate Peter Kenneth and later race with Kidero in August polls.

"Our competitors will not defeat us as we are ready for them. Sonko and I are working as a team,"Wanjiru said.
Waweru, however, has not spoken to the media relating to the allegations that he has chickened out of the race for Nairobi’s top seat.
Earlier, Jubilee’s Sonko, MPs Johnson Sakaja (Nominated), Waweru, and Wanjiru, who form ‘Team Nairobi’ and Peter Kenneth, a former Gatanga MP, had declared their bids for governor. Sakaja, however, raced out last week and now is headed for a senatorial seat.

The team has been against the entry of former Gatanga Peter Kenneth in Nairobi’s race, terming him an outsider.
Kenneth, however, says he was born and brought up in Nairobi, and that he is ready to face the team during the nominations. He already presented his nomination papers last week.
