Barely hours after attacking Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, President Uhuru Kenyatta has turned his attention to Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi.

Speaking on Monday during the launch of Bamba-Marikani road in Bamba town, Kenyatta expressed anger at Kingi for 'lying to his people' about projects in his county.

"Whenever we do any projects in Kilifi, he claims they are from World Bank. It does not matter where the money for the project came from. The most important thing is that the money benefits the public," the President affirmed.

The Head of state went ahead and questioned where the Governor gets the money he has been using in the County if not the National government.

"As leaders we should try keep off divisive politics and work towards uniting the country. We should not be insulting each other ... I always wonder what problem your Governor has. The money he is using...ask him where it comes from. It's my government that gives him the money," Kenyatta said.

Kenyatta’s sentiments come barely a week after he called another governor a 'foolish devil' and threatened that he would ruthlessly deal with the striking doctors.

Recent public outbursts, anger and personal attacks on Opposition leaders appear to be characterizing Kenyatta’s style of leadership.

On Monday, controversial political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi encouraged the President to become more ruthless in his leadership adding that ODM leader Raila Odinga would take advantage of his calmness.

On the other hand, ODM leaders have criticised the President recent attacks claiming that his abusive language was was not suited to his position.
