Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi on Thursday made shocking claims concerning President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.

Mr Ngunyi alleged that National Super Alliance Presidential Candidate Raila Odinga will be a guest of International Criminal Court (ICC) at the Hague because the two leaders have enough motive to drag him (Odinga) there.

In a controversial tweet the political analyst highlighted that Kenyatta and Ruto were gathering evidence to make sure this comes to fruition.

Prof Ngunyi opined that the plan to take the former Prime Minister to ICC was the main reason why Kenya had never departed from the Roman Statute.

Khalif Kairo and his former business partner Clement Kinuthia are locked in a heated exchange of accusations, with Kairo now alleging that Clement not only cheated on his wife but also had an affair with his (Kairo’s) girlfriend. The car dealer also revealed that he is currently single, but will introduce a new lady once he resolves the issues surrounding his business.

“Raila will be a GUEST of ICC. Uhuru and Ruto have enough MOTIVE to FRAME him. They are collecting EVIDENCE. This is Why KENYA never left ICC,” he said.

Ngunyi’s remarks come at a time when speculations indicate that the cases against the Ocampo Six could be revived.

This was after ICC’s Senior Trial Lawyer Anton Steynberg divulged that the cases could be awakened if Kenya gets a new regime after the General Election.

“Our cases were weakened to such a situation as we didn’t think, in our right conscience, that we could proceed with them as it were. It is said the arc of the moral universe is long but it bends towards justice. Who knows, the next regime may be much more cooperative, or the next after the next,” he said. “I am not about to retire...I can wait.” Steynberg was quoted by the Standard.

President Kenyatta and Mr Ruto were among the six accused of the violence against humanity during the 2007/2008 Post Election Violence (PEV).
