President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election bid today received a major boost.
Six political parties today lined up to endorse his candidature in the general elections during their respective National Delegates Conferences held at separate venues in Nairobi.
“It will be a moment to come together after the tough nomination process,” JP Secretary general Raphael Tuju said yesterday.
The Jubilee party led the pack and during their National Delegates Convention (NDC) held at Bomas of Kenya handed President Uhuru the Jubilee certificate as their nominated presidential candidate.
Maendeleo chap chap joined the independence party, KANU which had earlier expressed support for Uhuru and declared Uhuru Kenyatta tosha.
During their national delegation conference held at the party headquarters in Lavington, Machokos governor, Dr. Alfred Mutua expressed his strong support for President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election bid and stated he was pleased with Uhuru’s leadership since he took power in 2013.
“I as a person I’m very proud of you, and we as Kenya we are very proud of you, you have not let us down,” Mutua said.
President Uhuru Kenyatta later attended Narc Kenya National Delegates Conference, and received another boost after the delegates resolved to support his candidature for President in the August election.

Kanu held their national delegates conference at the Moi Sports Centre Kasarani and formally endorsed their former party chairman, Uhuru Kenyatta.
Other parties are the Kenya Patriotic Party and Economic Freedom Party.
President Uhuru will face off with Nasa flag bearer, Raila Odinga who will be running on an ODM ticket after the party endorsed him yesterday.
