Uhuru’s Jubilee party has exposed a major scheme and strategy through which it will take home the presidency in the August polls.
The new party Secretary General and head of secretariat Raphael Tuju over the weekend told journalists in Nairobi that the party is set for re-lection in the coming polls, promising to show dust to the newly formed opposition team National Super Alliance (NASA).
Tuju who spoke at the party headquarters in Pangani in Nairobi, said that already the party has engaged over 300 new staff who will be purely monitoring the statistics across the country.
The team, according to Tuju, comprises of young tech savvy data experts, communication pundits and data analysts, who will keep the party head secretariat on tabs.
To restore the tainted image of the party, which is by NASA, according to Tuju, the party has engaged Kenya’s top feature news journalist Alex Chamwada.
Chamwada, who runs a private media company, will be tasked with laying out what the party terms as a “complex and communication strategy and package Uhuru Kenyatta for re-election.”
“The mandate of the media team is to work and ensure that supporters of Jubilee and Kenyans know what is happening in their party. They will also link the press to the party,” Tuju said.
He added: “Those who clinch the tickets during the primaries will be required to campaign for President Uhuru Kenyatta’s reelection.”
Tuju’s sentiments come even as the selection of party’s elections board hit a series of snags, many of them marred by chaos.
Last week, party elections for election board members hit a dead end in Nairobi, Murang’a and Kirinyaga Counties after supporters of contesting politicians clashed.
