Househelp wanted for stealing Ksh 320,000 cash bail from Molo OCS

A middle-aged woman in Molo, Nakuru County is being hunted by police after making away with Ksh.320,000 cash bail.

The woman, identified as a househelp in the area, disappeared with the police cash bail that was from the police Officer Commanding Station (OCS).

Molo Sub- County Police Commander, Samuel Mukhusi has confirmed that the unidentified house-help stole Ksh 320,000 from Molo OCS, Anne Kanori.

In his statements, Mukhusi says Kanori was keeping the money in her house because their police station was apparently undergoing a facelift.

He added that due to the renovation, the OCS had to move important office documents as well as cash bail money to her house.

We had asked for support from area CDF to redo the station, which was dilapidated, and was in bad shape. The cash bail could not remain at the station as constructors did their work,” said Mukhusi.

The OCS will now have to refund the money back to the station as police look for the househelp.

It’s true that the cash bail money is missing, and the OCS will have to look for ways to avail the money for its intended purpose even if it means she will apply for a loan,” said Mukhusi.
