Kibra MP Ken Okoth has dismissed rumors doing rounds on social media that he has passed away.
In a message shared on Twitter by ODM Director of Communication Phillip Etale, the 41-year-old lawmaker assured Kenyans that he is doing well.
"I'm alive and kicking. Folks should stop killing me before my time with rumors," the message read in part.
Etale said that Okoth, who is one of the youngest MPs in Kenya, was "recovering from his ailment and feels disturbed by the rumors and propaganda bring spread about his life".

Diagnosis
The MP also posted on his official Twitter account, confirming that he was alive and well.
"I'm alive and kicking. Folks should stop killing me before my time with rumours," the MP stated.
Okoth has been battling colerectal cancer but still putting on a brave face to work for his people.
The Kibra MP did admit that the diagnosis came a little too late but was hopeful that he will pull through.
Okoth admitted that getting treatment for advanced cancer is not easy in the country, a challenge he has had to deal with himself upon recommendation by his doctors in Nairobi.
Following the spread of the fake news on his life, Kenyans took to social media to castigate those who had posted the claims as they wished the MP a quick recovery.
