Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho was on Tuesday forced to stop his campaign in Jomvu, Mombasa County after one of his vehicles was involved in an accident.

A car on on Joho's convoy knocked down a man bringing the vote hunting mission to an abrupt halt.

The man was rushed to the hospital and the Governor went to visit him.

"We cannot proceed. I am told one of our supporters has been hit by a car. Let us go and see if he is seriously injured and help him," Joho stated.

The said man was one of the Governor's supporters and was donned in an ODM t-shirt.
