Jubilee Party has fired embattled Nairobi County Majority Leader Abdi Guyo.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the ruling party stated that Mr Guyo would be replaced by Charles Thuo.
The letter signed by Jubilee Party secretary general Raphael Tuju stated that Thuo and the newly selected would take over the house temporarily.
Millicent Wambui ws appointed as the new deputy majority leader while Juliet June Ndegwa was appointed as the Majority Whip.
Calls to dissolve county government
Jubilee leadership also acknowledged the need to end the the squabbles between two factions from their in the Nairobi County Assembly.
Nairobi MCAs have called for the dissolution of the county government as fracas and supremacy battles continue to rock the assembly.
The ward reps, mostly from Jubilee, want the ruling party’s top leadership to call for a caucus to find an amicable solution to the wrangles.
The calls came following another round of chaos at the assembly on Monday when MCAs allied to Speaker Beatrice Elachi tried to forcibly evict Mr Guyo from office.
