Kirinyaga Gubernatorial aspirant Anne Waiguru has taken a commanding lead against her main rival Martha Karua.
According to results tallied by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), Ms Waiguru has already garnered 57,043 votes against Karua’s 38,776.
These are results of 241 polling stations out of 659.
The incumbent Governor Joseph Ndathi is also in the race and currently has 1550 votes.
Waiguru, who is the former Devolution and Planning Cabinet Secretary is seeking the seat on a Jubilee ticket while Karua is vying on her Narc-Kenya Party.
