16 dead as Kenya records 1,253 more cases of Covid-19

11,324 more patients have recovered from Covid-19

The Ministry of Health has announced 1,253 new cases of Covid-19, bringing total infections to 89,363.

According to Health CAS Dr. Rashid Aman, the new cases are from 10,750 samples tested in the last 24 hours.

He announced that total deaths have hit the 1,500 mark, after 16 more patients succumbed to the deadly disease.

11,324 patients have recovered from the deadly disease, with 11,177 from the Home-based care program, and 147 from various hospitals. This brings the total recoveries to 67,788.

1,200 patients are admitted in various hospitals across the country with 7,755 others on home-based isolation and care.

The new cases are distributed across the country as follows: Nairobi, 326, Mombasa 143, Kilifi 105, Kiambu 86, Murang’a 67, Meru 45, Kirinyaga 43, Makueni 36, Migori 35, Embu 34, Laikipia 32, Nakuru 26, Machakos 25, Kitui 24 Taita Taveta 20, Bungoma 19, Siaya 18, Lamu 17, Nyeri 17, Uasin Gishu 14, Kajiado 13, Uasin Gishu 1, Kajiado 13, Garissa 13, Nandi 12, Kisumu 12, Tharaka Nithi 11, Bomet 11, Homa Bay 10, Busia 7, Kakamega 6, Kwale 6, Samaburu 6, Nyandarua 5, Kericho 4, Isiolo 3 and Turkana 2.
