Two people have died as 11 others sustained injuries in a Sunday morning accident in Lukenya, along the the Nairobi-Mombasa highway.

Reports reaching indicate that the two, a man and a woman died on the spot.

The injured were rushed to Machakos Level Five Hospital where they are currently receiving treatment.

According to the Police, the driver of a lorry was overtaking when he collided head on with a bus belonging to Mash Poa Company at around 1.30am.

The lorry was heading to Nairobi while the Mash Poa bus was on its way to Mombasa.
