Five people lost their lives after the Public Service Vehicle they were traveling in collided head on with a truck at the Nithi black spot, in Tharaka Nithi.
Four others sustained serious injuries in the Monday night accident, and were rushed to hospital.
The accident was confirmed by the Tharaka Nithi County Rescue Team Patron, Mr. Alex Mugambi.
