State House director forced to explain himself after celebrating police brutality on journalists

He said that the police did a good job

State House Director of Digital, Innovations and Diaspora Communications Dennis Itumbi has been forced to explain himself after celebrating police brutality on journalists.

Itumbi in a tweet said that he was only responsible for the things he says and not how people interpret them adding that the police did well stopping the scenes witnessed at JKIA.

“I am responsible for what I say. Not what you interpret. I stand by my two FB updates. did well to stop the scenes at the airport. May strict enforcement of filming and broadcast guidelines at follow. I wish quick recovery the injured Journalists,” said Itumbi.

He also clapped back at Kenyans who have been saying he will one day leave State House saying that he was aware of that and when the time comes he shall deal with it.

He however said that he will continue serving passionately and without fear as long as he still has his job.

“To those saying one day I will leave State House and the shoe will be on the other side. Let me respond this way, that is true, one day I will leave to pursue other ambitions and interests. But for now, I will serve with determination, passionately and without fear or favour,” he said in another post on Facebook.

Itumbi hit the headlines after he applauded the government for harassing journalists who were covering the return of Lawyer and self-declared Nationa Resistance Movement General Dr. Miguna Miguna at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA)
