For the better part of Wednesday night and Thursday morning traffic snarl-ups was what defined many roads especially those leading into a petrol station.
Motorists were alerting one another on social media once they found fuel as most petrol stations had dry pipes.
Other petrol stations reportedly issued notices requiring a minimum Sh500 worth of fuel.

Some motorists, who were stuck in traffic for long hours, opted to send boda boda guys to buy fuel for them then siphon into their cars. Still others opted to purchase fuel using jerricans.
