Jeff Koinange advice to Asbel Kiprop after shameful video goes viral

He Is Trying To Reach Out.

Unlike a section of Kenyans who heavily bashed Kiprop, Koinange opined that the three-time 1500m World Champion could simply be in need of help yet the public was not recognizing it.

"I Personally Think Asbel Kiprop Needs Help, He Is Trying To Reach Out. Many People Don't Want to Talk About What They Are Going Through.

"Be Careful With The Friends You Hang Out With, Find Someone You Can Talk to no matter how bad the Situation," Koinange said.

According to the video, Mr. Kiprop seems to be the one recording the private moments with the woman, who had unbuttoned her shirt revealing her bra.

After the clip went viral, Kiprop accused his enemies of being behind an alleged plot to tarnish his name.

"Those who saw it wise to bring me down by lying had no good plans for the sport or humanity. I might sound less because I know how to be humble but I am real. I will not revenge even if I am told who my enemy is.

"I will consider the fact that he wants to earn living by framing me. I will not feed them with dust but I believe in God who will forgive my oppressors. I know what I am capable of and I know my enemies," he said.

The 29-year-old police officer has been under siege after International Association of Athletics Federations found him guilty of doping.

Three months ago, tests carried out by the Federation revealed energy-enhancing drugs in his urine.

Kiprop accused the Anti-doping agency of interfering with his sample but the independent Athletic Integrity Unit dismissed the allegations as untrue.

In a report by the Nation, one of Kiprop’s friend divulged that after the doping results, the athlete has been finding comfort in alcohol.

"I am not sure if he is the one who posted the videos on Facebook. If he did, he must have been drunk," Nation quoted Kiprop.
