NTV’s interview with suspended IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba has elicited wild reactions among Kenyans.
Mr. Chiloba is scheduled to appear on the station’s political show, Sidebar, hosted by news anchor Ken Mijungu, in a bid to reflect on 2017 bungled General Election.
“Last year same time we were getting ready for a historic election CEO joins me tonight to speak about that election, his reflection on election management and what he is up to it’s open it’s candid it’s ,” the show’s promo read.
A section of the public expressed outrage noting that Mr Chiloba ought not to be given TV airtime blaming him for what happened after the polls.

However, others indicated that they were eager to hear what the embattled CEO had to say after the polls whose results were contentious.
Here are the reactions:
In June, Chiloba was sent on another compulsory leave hours after the court revoked previous orders issued by chairman Wafula Chebukati.
In a circular, Mr. Chebukati explained that since Chiloba was also the accounting officer at the Commission it was imperative for him to stay out of office as auditing of major procurement involving the 2017 General Election is completed.
The IEBC chairman stated that the decision was arrived at during a meeting held on 14 June 2018.
