Cuban Doctors' arrival in Kenya [PHOTOS]

Kisumu Governor Prof Anyang' Nyong'o received the 50 doctors in Nairobi.

Kenya on Tuesday night received a contingent of 50 Cuban doctors out of the 100 slated to work in the country.

The 50 will be spread across all the 47 counties, with Nairobi receiving a large share of three of the first batch, as the country awaits the second batch on Thursday.

The Cuban doctors are set to embark on training the Kenyan medics for two years in family healthcare among others issues, even as their salary continues to stir up emotions of Kenyan doctors.

The fifty were received at the Jomo Kenyatta international Airport on Tuesday night by Kisumu Governor Prof Anyang’ Nyong’o, who was in company of Health Chief Administrative Secretary Rashid Aman and the Cuban Ambassador to Kenya RaĂșl RodrĂguez Ramos.
