Chris Kirubi's message to Uhuru ahead of meeting with Trump

President Uhuru left Kenya for US on Saturday

Business mogul Dr. Chris Kirubi has sent a message to President Uhuru Kenyatta, ahead of his meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House.

In his message Kirubi called on the president to negotiate on easy Visa allocation for Kenyan students joining universities and colleges in the United States.

“My plea to President Kenyatta as he travels to meet President Donald Trump is to negotiate for easy allocation of visas for our students joining universities there. Every academic year, the US enrolls over 3000 Kenyan students and I believe preferential treatment should be given to these students,” said Kirubi.

He also asked that the two governments to link visa issuance to trade agreements like the African Growth Opportunity Act (AGOA) to support and strengthen trade partnerships.
