Mary Waithera Kamathi was left dead after the Wednesday evening ambush with a sharp wound found near the chest.
Police officers who reported at the scene of the incident divulged that the wound could have been inflicted by a sharp object.
Family grief
The untimely death of the 27-year-old shocked her family living in Kayole estate in Naivasha.
Waithera's mother Alice Kamathi expressed her grief over the demise of her second born daughter noting that she supported them financially.
“My first born and I are diabetic, and since my husband died seven years ago, we have relied on my daughter, who has been living in Germany for the last eight years,” she said.
Brother speaks
Her brother Samuel Njuguna told journalists that he had contacted the Kenyan embassy in Germany but was instructed to speak to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Njuguna disclosed that Waithera’s friends in Germany told him that his sister was attacked by an unknown man who then fled.
“This is a very painful time for our family and we hope the person behind this beastly incident is arrested and arraigned in court,” he was quoted by a daily.
The family is calling on the Government to help them.
