The girl identified as Mary Mokaya was woken up by the fumes and started waking up the rest of the girls to rush out of the dormitory.

The 16-year-old who has been praised by fellow students for waking them up ended up with 66 per cent burn.

According to her mother Florence Agoto, her daughter has always been kind to other people.
