Standard Group and Daily Nation Journalists Attacked.

This is bad

The three journalists identified as Philip Ekadeli of Radio Maisha, Hesbon Et Young of The Star Newspaper and Sammy Luta of Daily Nation were roughed by a mob of locals who destroyed their cameras and recorders.

The reason behind the attack launched on the three journalists has not been revealed.

According to a concerned Journalist, Mate Tongola who works Radio Maisha, the mainstream media has remained mum over the harassment of journalists in the line of duty.

This is not the first time journalists are being attacked and their equipment destroyed.

On October 31st, Senior Citizen TV Reporter Francis Gachuri  was physically assaulted by a NASA  supporter at Wiper Headquarters.

Gachuri was covering was the NASA presser where Raila Odinga is expected to announce the next move for his coalition.

An act that prompted Journalists to walkout of the NASA press briefing. A KTN reporter was also attacked during the incident while an NTV camera lady was slapped.
